The happy couple flew off to warmer lands and we left Beecraigs Country Park and travelled down to the Scottish border at Berwick-on-Tweed.
The campsite was on the south side of the Tweed and OK. Had a great sea view.

Next day, we crossed the Tweed and entered the walled town. Berwick On Tweed is the most northernly town in Northumberland, only 3 miles from Scotland.
Crossing the Tweed on the 'Old Bridge' .

Interestingly, we discovered the Berwick barracks built following the 1715 Jacobite uprising to house a defensive garrison.
