Last leg of our trip

Walked from Houlgate along La Dives River to Dives-Sur-Mer and then onto Cabourg. Really nice area will probably re visit and handy for the ferry back home.

On the way to Le Havre for the ferry crossing we stopped off at Deauville another seaside resort.

Managed to park our twin with ease.

We had a couple of hours to kill which allowed us to walk along the seafront to the next town, Trouville.

Crossing over the River Seine on Le Pont de Normandie, with Le Havre in the distance.

Watching over our twin on the ferry.

Houlgate, Normandy

We set off Monday morning 23rd October 2017, from Vendome to Houlgate in Normandy.
Stayed on La Vallee campsite which had a very high percentage of Brits staying there. Realisation struck that it was half term!!

Camping Au Cour de Vendome

Friday  20th October 2017
Set off on our next road journey to Vendome, in central France.
Took the A20, non toll motorway upto Chateauroux  and then followed the signs to Blois and onto Vendome.
We found the Camping Au Coeur  de Vendome with the aid of the sat nav.
Tucked away and along the banks of the Loire. Ideally placed for walking into the centre of town.
Enjoyed a very good meal in one of their restaurants and sampled their local red wine.

Au Soleil d'Oc camping, Dordogne

We set off from the Aire just after the church bells struck 9 twice!
Following is making a note of our route, taking small roads on this route.
Took the D7 passing through Milhars which is a nice picturesque village. Up the D33 and onto the D926 in the direction of Villefranche-de-Rouergue. Found a good ring road round the town and took the road to Figeac. Took the N122 towards Aurillac. Picking up the D7 again at Le Rouget.
Just before picking up the D120, we passed through an interesting town and stopped for photo shoot. At Laroquebrou.
Followed the D120 to Argantat.

Took the D12 along the Dordogne and found our site Au Soleil D'Oc. It was still open, that was a relief, but the reception was shut up. Finally found some instructions telling us to help ourselves to a pitch. Stopped for two nights.

Church Near Caylus on D33 and
Passed the Abbey de Beaulieu later, didn't get a pic

Stopped off for a selfie and lunch
