Cheerio white cliffs of Dover...

We overnighted, Thursday 28th September 2017, at The Black Horse Farm site at Folkestone. Had a good wholesome meal at the Black Horse pub. Next morning left for Dover and got the 11.10 am ferry to Calais. Good crossing.

Drove out of Calais with no problem. Good journey on the A26 except nearly got wiped out by a caravan that cut it fine when exiting!

Made our way to a site near Laon and stayed there for two nights. Les Etangs du Moulin, a quiet campsite in wild-west style. Plus free fishing on site.

Drove into Laon, managed to park up OK. We used our new camper contact app to find a suitable car park for our twin.

Laon is a medieval city sat on a plateau. Well worth a visit but don’t buy a coffee by the cathedral! But we did find the train man friendly. Had a great ride round the town.
