La Garrigon, Grillon, Provence

Friday 6th October 2017
Set off early and followed the N7 going south. We stopped off for supplies and fuel. Followed the River Rhône most of the way.

Driving along the banks of the Rhone
Passing through a town on the N7. Has a scene painted on the wall of a building...

Passed by Grignan Chateau, near the site.

Made our way to our next site, located nicely in the vineyards. On arrival the Mistral was doing it’s
worst.  Checked the forecast, were expecting 40 mile an hour winds overnight!
Luckily, only a little buffeting on the camper van, managed to sleep!

Settled for a nice sunny pitch...

Next morning it had died down, sunny and warm, bikini weather!
We took a walk into the nearest town, Grillon. Really liked it, discovered a medieval walled part of the town. Lovely houses surrounding the town and looks like more building on the go....
Wouldn’t mind living here......

An attempt to photograph the sunset, sorry, Yvonne, couldn't find a good backdrop.
