Visit to Arles

We arrived during the French lunchtime, again,  at a site within walking distance of Arles city centre, at Pont du Crau, Camping l’Arlésienne. This time it was a Sunday, 3 hours lunch!

Site was OK, staff were very helpful. The facilities were OK for a few days stopover. They have an outdoor swimming pool and slides for the summer season. But for us very handy to get to the centre to see the Roman sights. There was a bus, no 3 that we could have jumped on but we decided to walk. Not far, a couple of miles, probably not even that.

We came across the Roman theatre very quickly and then found the Amphitheatre. Beautiful sunny day to see the sights.

Stopped off for lunch, shared a lovely plate of charcuterie and sampled some of their local wine
